| Doppler Ultrasound |
Maternal DopplerAt this scan the blood flow from the mother to the uterus (uterine artery Doppler) is checked. The aim of this scan is to give early warning about the possibility of bleeding in later pregnancy, blood pressure complications, (pre-eclampsia) or the possibility of a slowing of your baby’s growth in later pregnancy. Feto Placental DopplerIt is possible to check blood flow in the umbilical cord or special blood vessels in your baby’s body as a measure of the welfare of your baby and placenta. These tests can be performed as well as growth checks or more frequently if your doctor wishes. |
