Why is measuring the cervix important?
It's important to measure the cervix (neck of the womb) during pregnancy because it is often shorter in women who are more likely to go into premature labour and therefore give birth early.

How is the cervix measured?
The length of your cervix is measured by an internal ultrasound examination for optimum accuracy and clarity of image (trans-vaginally).

Is a Cervical Scan the best way to check for Premature Labour?

What else is checked during a Welfare + Cervical Scan?
